Singularity (tentative title) - End o' the World Game Jam Entry

Howdly folks, just wanted to share a quick little game-play demo of our (Liquid Gameworks and me) little game that we did for the game jam. This is roughly the result of a week's work, and intense tunnel vision for the past 3 days especially. Hope you enjoy the vid while I go pass out now ;)

Gonna spend the final moments tomorrow ironing out the kinks, optimizing the images and sounds/music, and trying to make it as badass as we're capable of. Wish us luck ;)!

Looks good, personally I dont like the complete red titles, It always looks a bit cheap/cheesy. if you make the inside white en the outlines red, that looks really nice.

good luck with the finishing touches!

looks nice guys.. i like how the space in the background looks 3d'ish sort of..
how'd you do that.. just static images layered? good luck

@Stormtrix The technique is called parallax scrolling. Essentially, there's layered static images that are constrained to move at different speeds in relation to the main actor.

I like that parralax effect. I would like to use something like that in my current development. But just a side to side effect not a 360 thats cool.

@Jeffnichols the technique is actually fairly straight forward. You constrain your background actors offset to your camera controlling actor on both the x and y access. General principle is, objects that are farther away move slower, so you constrain positions to something slower than your controlling actor, such as camera.origin.x/2.
