How do you scroll through a screen using your fingers for touch?

I want to know how to scroll up and down and side to side for an app.

    I think you need to explain better for help you.
    Or look for pinch zoom if maybe you need that.

    I normally start with my finger about 2/3 of the way across the screen in the direction opposite of where I want to scroll to. Then depending on the urgency of the matter I will swipe my finger really fast or nice and smooth.

    No when you are making a game, how do you code the scene to be able to scroll through it with touch when it is on the iphone?
