Scrolling Background. without using Scene wrap.

Im having a issue with scrolling a background while using Scene/Wrap Y. Using wrap in the scene is causing all actors to wrap. As soon as a actor leaves the bottom of the screen its re appearing from the top.

Is there a way to scroll a background seemlessly without using Wrap?

Im currently using a 640x960 image for retina iphone. making it fit in the 320x480 box.

When your actor leaves one side of the screen make it then appear on the other.

It really is as simple as that.

Read this and tell me it makes sense.

Pardon me if I misunderstood the problem, but couldn't you just put the actors in a non-scrollable layer?

ok. let me try to be a lil more detailed. There is a group of buttons that say GAME/SCENE when I click scene I thell it to Wrap to Y.

I then place the background image in and give it the move behavior and it alllllll works fine. Then I tell a actor " the cloud" to spawn off screen at 160x720 and also travel down. it does. And when it get to the bottom of the screen. It wraps the scene just like the background Image. The last time I did this. I didnt have this issue. Because all my spawning actors were being destroyed by a wall actor that was behind the HUD of the game. They never made it to the bottom to be wrapped. But in this situation I dont have a hud. But its ok. Im using the change self y to another y when it gets to a specific y. and its working fine. Yes Im getting a lil line between the jumps but I made the scene background the same color as the image background and i no longer have the problem. Im good. But I would love to hear some other "WORK AROUNDS" people have came up with.

Now NAS just mention placing the other actors on a non scrolling layer?????? Will I be able to use this layer as if the scene wasnt a Wrap Y scene?

I didn't understand your post, it's not very clearly written.
