How slow is the Apple approval process?

How slow is the Apple approval process? I want to distribute with them in the future, but I'm curious about this now because I've heard that approval times range from 1 day to two weeks. Any thoughts?

How fast or stringent is it compared to Amazon or Nook?

While I'm asking - Does anyone know how long Windows Store approval takes?

People are speaking about 2-3 days and sometimes 1 week.

Thanks a lot for all your input. So it sounds like it's a little bit slower than Android stores besides Google Play, but not too painful if you just have a minor update. It sounds like it takes 6 days for a new app and maybe up to 3 days for an update. A bit slower than what I'm used to, but not unbearable.

I just waited 6 days, got an email saying I forgot to include my IAP screenshot, submitted that and have now waited 3 more days with no word. Guessing I got put at the bottom of the stack again.
