anyway to make a scrolling background without so much lag

i have a game where the background is never ending but it lags a tad which is not cool! is there anyone out there that knows how to make it so that it does not lag as much i have tried everything.. change motion linear velocity, move behavior, and also the change velocity behavior and it all does the same damn thing! can someone please help me?

    Are you still using those massive textures? Because if it's over 1024 it will be read as a 2048 texture, even if only over by 1 pixel... that will hit performance massively.

    I made you one demo and in my computer it does not lag at all, strange enough. If you could(I guess that you can't) send me the scene that you have to change. You don´t have to send me the graphics or anything like that but it´s a bit hard to help you when you don´t know how you done it.

    What pixel size is your background image?
