When ever I drag and checking forum thread listing they display particular forum views count. And all views counts are in odd number and ending with 1. On each page maximum 1 thread you can see with even numbers. Is this bug and showing wrong views?

I noticed that too relatively recently.... it seems to update the total only after every 10 (after the first 1) now! Don't know why, a Vanilla thing, I guess..

I'm telling you that's part of the massive conspiracy designed by GameSalad to rob us of our sanity! ;)

Great now I have another conspiracy theory to worry about...

It's been like that for at least a few months on mobile version.
It starts at one 1 view
    Then 11 views ect

There was even a thread started about it a while ago that got dismissed by everyone so I say it been pointed out before but just ignored because it doesn't really affect anything.

@Elfizm its important beacuse sometime people see 41 views in their thread and reply is zero that time the post again with "bump" and originally only 2-5 people viewed that thread. So its create misunderstanding.
  • ElfizmElfizm Member Posts: 489
If it says 41 views then it has been viewed 41 times, even if the same person views it over and over.

The views only change when it gets intervals of ten. So that's ten views , not one.

I can see where your coming from but it just doesn't update it every time.

Test it. Go on to a thread with one view, go back out. It will still be on one view. When really it has two.
Do this eight more times and then it will show 11 views.

I fail to see this as a big deal even if this where true.
I'm honestly more irritated by getting a wet spot on my sock than knowing exactly how many people have viewed my thread.

I think it is important as many a times i see that my thread has only 1 view and i feel i am getting ignored.. so i bump the thread.
  • tenrdrmertenrdrmer Member, Sous Chef, Senior Sous-Chef Posts: 9,934
@gsrocks123 you feel less ignored when 101 have looked and still not commented? I mean if it only shows 1 the most that possibly have looked is 10 its only off by 10 so how is it a major issue. Should vanilla fix it? Absolutely. Is it any kind if major issue that should take away from other issues? Not really...

Unless your someone who is in need of every detail that goes on, it's fine, and to be honest it's been like that for a while now. It's just a number that doesnt show Every view. Mind you people, like me go through and see things I don't know anything about and move on. It's adding, I am not ignoring, I just don't have an anwser to give.

What would be a concern if that started to happen with comments.

    This thread is going nowhere
  • creativeappscreativeapps Member Posts: 1,770
@tenrdrmer its not matter about showing odd number views display wrong numbers.
May be after each view its increasing to 10.

@SaladStraightShooter do you have any idea?
  • tenrdrmertenrdrmer Member, Sous Chef, Senior Sous-Chef Posts: 9,934
If that where true then this thread alone would have a minimum of 181 views based on the comments that are left alone. not to mention the many other views that I'm sure have happened without comments left.

Have you ever heard don't make a mountain out of a mole hill? Thats what this is.

@elfizm has already stated he tested and confirmed its just updating for every 10. not showing 10 for every 1

Ok for 10 view it shows 11 then its not big deal.
  • PBEmpirePBEmpire Member Posts: 676
That escalated quickly. Maybe closing this would help... [-O<

Er... not sure why anyone is making a big deal out of this. Such a petty thing to disagree about. It's a bug, and it really doesn't matter how important it is. All that matters is that GS notices it and does whatever they decide to do, whether that be ignore it or fix it. :(|)

  • creativeappscreativeapps Member Posts: 1,770
@LeonardDeveloper Yes my observation is improved after playing 4pics 1word :)
