This is where you should start:

    Note the Cookbook link.

What you are saying is possible. I would recommend just digging in and trying to complete a simpler game using GS so that you can get the basics down. Also, the videos at www.GSHelper.com and the things on the cookbook are excellent ways to start.

    Best of luck,

    Hey, @diegomonroy1@hotmail.com,

Like @RP says, start with the cookbook, or at least keep it handy as you start your project. @SnapFireStudios is also correct in that you should begin with a simpler project, or least a single element of the game you'd like to create, such as the movement of your character, and build from there. As far as helpful resources, I'd recommend the following:

Deep Blue Apps have many templates you can use to get you started, and they're a great way to have a look at how something functions:

    http://www.deepblueapps.com/category/bargains/

GSHelper is also another great resource, and they have several helpful tutorial videos as well:

    http://gshelper.com/?cat=20

Another resource is this very forum! Go through the 'Working with Gamesalad' section to see how other users have resolved issues/questions they've had. Use the search bar in the top right to track down a specific problem that you might have (this has been the main way for me to look for answers).

One post on the forums that I particularly appreciate is the 'Spare Code' thread started by @Socks:

    http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/52494/spare-code-dump-it-here#latest

Download these and learn from them, and soon enough you'll be posting your own pieces of code for others to use.

    Best of luck!
