No game bro. I haven't released anything. Stay tuned, we got a ton of goodness in the pipes.

We're a relatively new company. We 'officially' opened on Jan 1st but didn't get our first funding check until late Jan. :)

    Cool story bro

  • When I (hopefully) finish my app soon, I'll let you know. I'd like to make at least a few grand to upgrade some things as well as pay off some debt. But, it's nice to know that there's always the slim chance you could be a lucky one to make it big. Ah, dreams...

Yeah I'm in the middle of making my first game as well. But I wrote down a list of ideas for future projects and its gonna be awesome! I have 22 projects planned.

Haha, I'm going to say it here and now so that all of the forums can know, Meteor Man was a big flop. It didn't do anything at all. In 1/2 a year I made $15.93. I got about 100 downloads and 75 of them were on the day it was free. The lite version on the other hand had (for about 2 months) nearly 100 downloads a week. :D

Not at all :( but the game wasn't really that good xd

Yeah, same here. I currently have 19 future app ideas written down (at least game concepts). Now all I need is the time to work on them...as I started my first app in June of last year. Honestly, I wouldn't care too much if I didn't make millions. I would be happy enough if I knew I could simply live off the apps and instead of going into an office like I do currently, remain home or wherever and have my app design as my "day job."

    I got 5 downloads. :-(
  • SolarPepperStudiosSolarPepperStudios Member Posts: 754
@blorsch Wow, thats tiny! I might want to change my selection from not good to better than I expected! (What is the game called?)
  • Zenith_GameworksZenith_Gameworks Member Posts: 310
Unfortunately, two of my game ideas are not possible to make atm with GS because they require joints and ragdoll physics :(

In terms of sales, my first game was a disaster, unfortunately it wasn't my worst release.
  • ShaunEleryShaunElery Member, PRO Posts: 148
Only out for a week, but no sales.

All of these posts are very disheartening :(. I hope I can do reasonably well with my first game, as it is pretty addictive and I genuinely enjoy playing it myself, and not just because its a game I made. Hopefully it will be ready in the coming weeks.

For the iOS AppStore , it really comes down to luck, gameplay and marketing...the more marketing the better luck you have...it is competitive now

Your first release is a learning experience .... If your super lucky you'll make a few thousand
  • BluemoonstudiosBluemoonstudios Member Posts: 156
    Hi

We definitely didn't end up with a few thousand. Do you have any ideas of where to market the apps?

    Thanks

    • First app (non-GS) sold just over 2000 copies.
    • Second app (non-GS) has clocked well over 500,000 (free sales) on Android/iOS, will hit close to a million in a year or two.
    • Best GS app is approaching 100,000 (free).
