Working Inventory?

in Working with GS (Mac)
Hello all!

Trying to work out the "inventory" function. (Eg. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50480487/exampleinventory.png ) The inventory would help choose what "tiles" are seen in the "dock" at the bottom of the screen.

Any ideas on how to do this? Tutorials on this subject? Looked around the forum/web without finding a page on the subject.

    Use tables, read and write the data per block you need.

    What @DepressedPanda said is true but it would not help a ton for a beginner who does not know how to use tables. I can make a demo of it if you want and send you the file, do you want me to?

    I have the logic done but I need to fill it out for the rest of the blocks, I'm going to be gone from my computer for two hours so you can expect it @ around 3-5 my time and it is 1:40 now in my time if you are in a different time zone.

    Doing it for them teaches them even less. The proper thing to do after my post was for them to go research and practice using tables.

    I have to disagree, what about all of the templates at dba do people NOT learn from them? With a template they can see how to do an item selector for the future and know how that code would work.
