Nook app rejected due to Android SDK version 8 deprecation

My latest app was just rejected because 0.10.2 no longer supports Android SDK version 8 .. apparently that's a requirement for Barnes & Noble.

Just thought I'd give a heads up to anyone publishing to Nook - don't upgrade to 10.2 :)

Did you try only targeting the newer devices? (The ones not listed as Froyo)

We could go that route, but I actually like supporting the Nook Color (which requires SDK 8). It still has a big market so I'd hate to exclude those customers :)

yea, this was part of the announcement last week:
    http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/54914/device-support-change-coming-in-next-release

this is what I found when researching:

Actually, it looks like the original kindle fire runs a customized version of 2.3, so that should be fine I guess.

The original nook color ran 2.2, so that's out, but it's also been discontinued. The next nook tablet ran 2.3, so that's ok too.

All the current stuff is based on more recent builds.

This is good news, should really help with those stupid audio delays!
