Nook to get Google play store support!

Good news folks, or bad news. Nook is getting full Google Play store support! Bad news, well, that means the sales on apps in the Nook store may decrease a lot because owners may now completely ignore the nook store and just download their apps from the play store.

Man, that's super bad timing for me!
I've just upload my apps for review to Nook after months of chasing IRS for tax codes etc.

So it seems like excellent news for Nook owners, horrible news for nook developers?

I still think publishing through nook is a better way. Less competition, no crap apps and less chance of piracy.

Yes, it sounds that way. Hopefully it'll still prove worthwhile being on the Nook store. But sales are bound to be vastly reduced.

I actually see nook changing this as they go on and seeing some of the apps on the play store. Nook reviewers are like apple in my opinion, they look over the apps pretty good.

    Interesting article here:

Nook still have a vested interest in selling apps through their store, and therefore making money on the apps sold. So although not great for developers on Nook, it may not be as bad as first sounds.
