Platform image

Hey, I am working on an endless runner platform game. As I know it is not possible to use images higher than 2048 pxl.
So I thought that I can separate my 4000 pxl image into 2 pieces and generate them endlessly one after another.
Can someone please tell me how should I do it?
Thank You

if your making an endless runner. Since you cant make an endless image i would wrap an image which makes the image/actor go out one side and come in on the otherside.

You could also spawn smaller actors in a max/min random.Y position to get bit of variaty. You main hero is stationary but your actors move across the screen making it seem like you are running.

See if using tiles is an option. Much more efficient... you'd be surprised at how much ram a 2048x2048 image takes up.

So are you saying that I should use smaller tiles to create a platform and generate them after and after?
But I couldn't figure out how to do it in gamesalad?
Is there any tutorial or can someone help me about it?

@decabol, here is one way to do it. There are other ways to do the same thing, but this might get you pointed in the right direction.

This uses one platform spawned over and over again like @Wingmanapps mentioned above.
