    I like the idea of a contest using limited resources or lets say the same set of actors...that kind of challenge would be interesting.
    Now that would be really cool...

    Just need to set rules and off we can go!!!

    Since @lycettebros it is your idea for this game, to build a game with limited resources, start the forum and we shall see who wishes to partake in the madness....

    At the end we wrap up all the games into one mega game and let the winner build a menu and publish it to the app stores as a free game.

    To be honest this isn't a major challenge. Just out of my head I can think of 100 ways to code this even without breaking the prototype see my video on custom duplicate actors. I could make a complete big game with one actor but the code stacks in the actor would go on forever. Since an actor is a blank slate in which one can change the image at anytime, change the size or any other game time editable attribute this would be no different to me than doing it with 100 actors. Heck I could even make individual overlap a d collide rules by modifying the actor tag at runtime. This really isn't that hard to be honest.

    @Wboko
    I actually have some what of a challenge page already started ;) I decided to take a crack at it and share what I'm doing, so I'd be interested to see what other people come up with :)

    I am happy if someone else wants to take the idea and run with it. If I get time I might explore it further.
    It would be a good comp and I like the idea of combining all the games into one.

    This has been done before. FireMapleGames did it and proved that it was better resource wise that way. However, we are talking about 2 years or so ago. Some of the veterans should remember him doing it...

    I think it was his adventure game if memory serves me correct. Secret of Grisly Manor.

    I have been inspired by this thread and here is a preview to my game. It does use more than one actor (about 6) but it does not have a single imported graphic.

    That's awesome! I've had a plan in the works for a platform game using just coloured actors with no graphics, but it wouldn't have looked half as good as this does! Great work :)

    @lycettebros reminds me of the old school dot matrix drawings people used to post on BBS' before we could post images.

    Yeah @FryingBaconStudios it is retro video game stuff. When you only have a box to work with it makes for a simple aesthetic- like the old days of plotting shapes on a cathode tube.
