Hit and Miss on touch

Does anyone have a way of coding that if I attempt to touch an actor and miss I lose a life, but if I touch that actor my lives remain the same?

I'm not in front of GS, but I believe you can check for touch inside and outside an actor, I think you could use that.

Use a magnitude to touch expression.

ok, so ive tried that and it basically works. Except I have several of the same actor on that scene so it seems if i click inside of one actor still counts to clicking outside of the other actors

Yes that's why I said use a magnitude. When touch is x number of pixels from actor self position.
