Doodle Style Art for Game

I am working on a new game with doodle style art and was wondering what is the best way (if you know of any ways) to make doodle style art. Possibly @jonmulcahy can help because I really like the doodle art in some of their games.

Thank you for any help

Thank you. I just have one more question, do you know if it's possible to "cut apart" the image to make a transparent background in unneeded parts of the image?

It's pretty easy, but time consuming. I had drew everything in pencil, went over it with a fine felt tip marker, colored it in with colored pencils, scanned it in and then used photoshop to cut away the extra spaces. I did mine on graph paper, but if you use regular white paper, removing the unneeded parts would be easier/cleaner.

I'm planning on doing another game in doodle style later this year, have not gotten around to it yet though.

Certainly drawing in black marker or something to give a strong contrast to the border of the artwork will make it easier to select and delete external space around the image. A nice clean line will make the selection easier.

Personally I think I'd tackle it with a graphics tablet and a illustration program if that option's available to you, I reckon you'd get 'cleaner' lines in your doodles.

Wow, that looks amazing! That is exactly what I'm aiming for. I am going for a graphic style like the monkey or the balls in your game.

    Thanks

I am glad you like it because it was a pain to figure out the first time.

I used PhotoShop filters and I will try to do a quick how-to tomorrow so you can see how I did the sketched look.
