    This is why I laugh when people say I'm missing out on sales because we don't support ios 4.3 lol

    Yups. Now don't any of you get all giddy and think you need to have the iOS7 beta on your dev test devices (not unless your SDKs or toolkits already have been tested and support it, otherwise you'll be asking for it).

    Yeah, not trying to be an Android spokesperson here, but I think for Android part of the older OS population may be devices that people don't actively use as their primary one. On the other hand, there are considerably more Androids than iOS devices. (where do they get those stats, I find it hard to believe Google would just let them make fun of Android like that :P )


    My personal prediction is that iOS 6 will keep 1/2 of its users after iOS 7 comes out :p

    This stats have been a trend for a while android users don't spend nearly as much money on app and have way more Internet usage than android. It has been this way for years. I've read those stats many times and not from apple. If you do your homework about market share which app developers should do, those numbers would be no surprise.

    @Chakku I think you're dead wrong. The feature set that iOS 7 is packing will be a major factor that determines the public upgrade speed. And from what I saw, the upgrade is totally worth it.

    Yeah, you're probably right about public approval. I guess I'm part of the minority that's sentimental toward iOS 6 and skeuomorphism...but you never know though, there could be a significant public backlash! However, I have a feeling that there will be more than 6% sticking with iOS 7 than iOS 6, but I could be wrong.
