Wrap Inside Actor Vertical Alignment

Hi All,

I am creating a nice quiz (we will share when complete as we have a film company skinning it)..anyway.

We have answer buttons, lets say that they are square, with the answer text shown within in it. Now the answers CAN be longer than the width, so we need to use 'Wrap Inside Actor'.

However, when we use 'Wrap Inside Actor' it vertically aligns the text to the top of the box.

BUT when we do not use 'Wrap Inside Actor' it puts it nicely in the middle.

We want the text to wrap but also in the middle of the actor...any ideas?

Cheers in advance,

It's either or. You can wrap and have vertical alignment at the top or you can not wrap and have vertical alignment at the center. The text alignment options for DisplayText are quite limited.

I think it's not possible because the behavior is this, try to change the height

That is a pain, the only thing I can think of is have your button graphic be a different actor than the text. Then if you know the text actor is going to be one or two lines you can place it individually at the correct X and Y locations.

I just started working with GameSalad displaying text strings from tables. The alignment is worse than with regular text (the words touch the left and top edges of the graphics). Because of this I will be making a separate actor for the graphics. I hope in an update, the alignment issue will be addresses.
