I agree with @bjandthekatz that @TShirtBooth videos on youtube are a good thing to check out. I found them brilliant and they are how I have managed to nearly finish the prototype of my game.
I have also found that searching the forum is a big help. Some of my questions had already been asked and answered.
I would reccomend DeepBlueApps.com & GsHelper.com to buy templates. I have a few basic (free) templates available at my website. (In Signature) If you need any other help, the forums are always open ^:)^
