This is my menu for my new game ..

    Does it have any sound in the video? Nothing is coming across. I'd try and keep a consistent font style in the logo, you have 3 different styles and colors.

    I'd very much prefer it if you didn't make the option buttons spin.
    And the part where the moustached block displaces the Play button is kind of weird/bad practice even though it's humorous.

    I know you're asking for critique on your menu layout, but if possible redo your Logo as well :) I get the feeling different artists designed your buttons and logo. It'd be best if you kept the styles similar. Also, not a fan of the heavy, blurry drop shadows. And the font choice for "The" can be improved.

    Other than that it's ok. It's nice you implemented feedback to your buttons (ie slight animations when pressed). Good work!

    I agree, dont make the option buttons spin and have i'd change the logo as Jon mentioned

    What I recommend is finding a menu system you like in another game or some style of a design you like and work from making something similar and then put you're own spin on it. Always measure one owns work against a design done by pros you like. Keep working yours until you can objectively say it's nearly as good as the pro one.

    much nicer but I still think you can do better :). the last 10% of work takes 90% of the time.

    First thing I would do is try and standardize your style. The buttons have a 3D, glossy effect on them, but your blocks are 'flat', no depth or shadows at all. I'd try and either bring some shading to the blocks and reduce the glossy effect on the buttons, make them a little more similar.

    I'd also increase your logo by 2x and shrink the play button in half. People will find the play button but make them remember the name!

    I like it that you had animations in it. Make sure you add sound, though, in case you weren't planning to.
