Jumping with touch controls

Hi I am trying to make my first game and its just a basic platform game with touch controls for left, right and jump. Now the left and right work fine but the jump I cant seem to make it jump while moving left or right with the touch controls at the same time (worked fine with keyboard controls) the way the actor jump is straight up when standing still then I can move the actor left and right but the actor stays in the air (gravity is set to direction 270, acceleration 800 and relative to actor) and if you keep pressing jump the actor just keeps climbing. What am I doing wrong?

    Try changing your acceleration relative to screen instead of actor perhaps.

    If that doesn't work I have a platformer movement control tutorial at the website linked in my signature below.

    you only have to make buttons and change the arrows to touch and then it should work fine :)
