Isle of Bxnes tech video - action RPG - alpha build testers wanted

Hey everyone, we wanted to share a short tech build of a game we’ve been working on the past couple months called Isle of Bxnes. We have most of the main systems in place for the game and some crisp pixel art is being put in at a more constant rate now. If anyone has any suggestions or comments for the project, or just want to chat about the lack of action-rpgs on iOS, please comment on here or whalenoughtstudios@gmail.com, we’re always looking for feedback.

If anyone is interested in playing an alpha build on their iOS device, please let us know and we’ll add you to the list! The alpha build will have all 27 skills available and have you survive until you collect your second ancient totem - lots more enemies and locations then the ones shown in the video, including some temples and caves which we’re really excited about. We have some cool lighting effects going on in them, and the tight corners make them a lot more dangerous for your hunters to trek through.

Thanks for checking it out, we’ll be updating the site regularly with new content if you want to keep up with its development.
Cheers!

- If you can’t see the video but are interested in the alpha or anything, here are some spark notes on the game:

Action RPG with cavemen traveling through islands with permanent death, if your hunters die your tribe dies and you start over.

You move from island to island gathering supplies, collectibles, and fighting off enemies including spearclans, voodoo tribes, frogmen, amazonians, giants and cannibals. Each island has numerous random components and themes, and you’ll never see the same island twice - each game playthrough can be completely different!

Many islands have non-hostiles who can communicate with you to do things for them for rewards, or you can just kill them. Cavemen be brutal.

Hunting Dogs can scout ahead or distract enemies.

With your supplies you can choose to heal your current hunter, mate to get another ready if you die, or select or upgrade a variety of skills to make him more deadly.

Finding giant totem pieces progresses you through the game, gives you more skills, and guides you to new areas.

Thanks! We're looking into testflight, but if we don't use that we'll send out the ad hoc test file.

The look reminds me of Fairy Tale Adventures I used to play on my Amiga 1000 when I was younger, I wasted so many hours playing that game. Good Luck on yours.
