Thoughts on overall gameplay/graphics?

After a rigorous dev session yesterday and today, i have created a basic version of 'SHADE' - a retro 2D Platformer which blends together Portal and Mario. I'm wondering what people think of this game at the moment and what features I could possibly include.

    Freaky, Im using popcorn in mine too, although your sounds funkier...

    A timer and best time per level would be good, so would zoom, but i know thats a bit more tricky...

    The Timer will come at the end of gameplay development - great minds think alike!
    Zoom wouldn't be too bad either.

    I really like the 'drop your own block' mechanic - very nice! :D
