For a more definitive answer you'd really have to get someone from GameSalad to respond, but in my experience (for what it is), based on GameSalad's development history I'd say joints are unlikely to ever appear, certainly not in GameSalad's current guise - who knows what might happen in the future, but as it stands I can't really see it happening.

But there are a whole load of clever ways that you can cheat and fake joints that should cover you for 90% of the situations where you might require joints.

If its not being mentioned in the weekly updates then I presume not anytime soon. Once the a stable release gets out with all the other new stuff they have been mentioning, I expect a reassessment of whats' next in line to get done - joints being a top one in requests so hopefully...

As far as I remember joints, although at the top of user's wish lists, were at the very bottom (or close to the bottom) of a very long roadmap list, and even though they were on the roadmap I think they're such a long way off that you may as well discount them, the only way I imagine we'll see joints is if there was a radical change in the future of GameSalad (something dramatic like merging with a rival SDK or being bought out by someone like Apple or Adobe, that kind of thing).

I believe I remember them saying they needed to get out if lua to get joints because of how the initial engine was built. And now since @codewizard seems more prioritized in improving the lua engine... Who knows if that is still valid or when we will get them. I wish they would hurry the heck up though. Lots of cool stuff could be done with joints.
