Sliding Menu? Mouse Click vs touch! How will Touch work on a sliding Level Select

Aloha All,
I have multiple templates for using a Sliding Level Select Menu, but I only found ones that use mouse click. I simply want to have a screen that is twice as wide an one screen high with 16 levels. I want to be able to slide left or right to view them.
I am concerned that the logic will not understand that when I touch the screen that I want it to slide because the mouse click is not directly on the actor.
Please correct me if I am putting too much thought into it. Will it work the same on touch as click of the mouse to slide the screen
