Edit: tga's only work in the nightly builds at the moment. they are hopefully coming soon to the public releases. Right @codewizard ?

    I tried all the ways to reduce load time (no preload art, less actor at welcome screen...) but it seems no change, still needs 6 seconds to load a 40 MB retina iPad app.
    Will try this tool.

    @ikhoata I don't recommend just flat converting everything. tga's are uncompressed images which means your file size will increase. so start out trying to apply the conversion to just the larger images in your game. its the process of uncorpressing the large ones that slows things down.

    So this is just recommended for larger images? About what size would that be? thanks for this I've tried it and it works great. I did find out that if you try to open a folder in the "select source file" opener it will crash.
