Help spoiler!

Hi everyone!
I'm creating a game like Alien Conquerors but I'm having some difficulties. I created a spoiler that every 2 seconds to fire 1 random enemy in the screen. The problem is that I can not make it stop. I wish that the spoiler was shooting for 1 minute and then stopped or when the player is dead to stop and change the scene. Can you help me?
