gamesalad crash deleting files

ok so i had my game backed up, but this means i still loose 2 hours of my work! again :(
so im working with gamesalad, it crashes, i go to find my files but the game.gsproj file is missing, everything els is there though....... why? where did it go?

    If you save every two hours and have some kind of crash or corruption you risk losing two hours work ! This is true for everything from Photoshop to TextEdit, MicrosoftWord to Logic Audio . . . .

    Solution, save more often ! :)

    I save every time I make some progress, maybe as often as every 3 or 4 minutes.

    yes @Socks the thing is i save all the time but when gamesalad crashed it deleted the game.gsproj.

    the only reason why i didnt loose all of my work is because i had a backup on a usb.

    is this normal? because it happens alot!

    No, it shouldn't happen !?

    Do you make incremental saves ?

    When I save I use 'Save As' . . . . .

    So you work away, you are working on BestGameInTheWorld 001.
    You make a great particle burst for the enemies, so you save as BestGameInTheWorld 002, you carry on, you manage to finally get the hero to do a nice bounce when he drops out of the helicopter, so you save as BestGameInTheWorld 003 . . . . and so on.
