Hi, I'm working on my game, and I'm trying to make it 100% playable on all apple devices, So could someone please give me the screen sizes for all these devices: iPod Touch 4-5, iPhone 4-5, iPad, & iPad Mini. Thanks

@forthebirds Thanks. but how come it says iPhone 3's size is 480x320 (which is the size for iPhone 4) and on iPhone 5, its 1136x640 :-O I thought iPhone 5 was 568x320? :/

@RockitGames retina display. After the 3 and the 3GS the iPhone 4 doubled the pixels, but to deal with that - and the old models, pixels got halved for the newer devices.

If you ever get the chance - compare an iPhone 3G to an iPhone 4 or above.

@matarua Oh, okay, but how do I get the non retina resolutions? because I'm trying to PhotoShop how I want my game to look, then I will put it in GameSalad so I can have every actor where I need them too be, so I need the non retina resolutions.

    Edit: if I do 1136 ÷ 2,
Will I get all the non retina resolutions? Thanks

There has never ever been a non retina iPhone at that resolution - Gamesalad automatically halves your images if you have resolution independence checked.

Do everything double and it will be halved for you - cool?

@matarua Oh, I get it! :D so the iPhone 5's real resolution is double of what GameSalad says it is?

@matarua One more question, how come on the picture below, it says the the iPad/iPad 2/iPad mini are the same resolution (1024 x 768) which can't be possible since the iPad mini is far smaller then the iPad/iPad 2, also how come its smaller (in height) then the iPhone 5, which is 1136 x 640, I'm kinda confused :/

That is because the iPad mini was standard resolution - like iPad 1 and iPad 2 - it says it all there on the diagram - now you can get a retina display mini iPad too.

What you are interested in is the resolution, not the physical size - the numbers there are all correct.

Hi def iPhone has got more pixels than a low def iPad k?

    Will help you.

@matarua May I ask one last question ;) what are the screen sizes for the iPad mini+iPad? because I want the game too be 100% universal, so I need to add this code:
Attribute - game.ScreenSize.Height + game.ScreenSize.Width = (what the X/Y of the iPad mini's screen is) - change scene to iPad mini gameplay.
This is the main reason I need the screen sizes. Thanks :)

ipad/ipad2 and ipad mini were 1024x768

iPad / ipad mini retinas are 2048x1536 (2x old resolution)

when designing for RI games, you always design your game as normal resolution (568x320 or 1024x768) but design your graphics as 2x their actor size. so a 100px actor will get a 200px graphic. iOS and Gamesalad will automatically choose the right graphic for you.
