Submitting GS games to Xbox and PS
Hello,
I noticed that we can make and submit apps to a lot of devices, is there any chance or rumors going around about being able to submit to actual console systems soon?
I know the xbox 360 has a huge indie section and if we could touch that section, that would be heaven on earth

Missing steering wheel, currently steering with a spanner gripping the nut where the steering wheel used to be . . . . on the way to the car shop to pick up some white leather seat covers, going to look real sexy . . . .

Yes, of course it won't be an easy/cheap process that's why I said "Is there any chance or rumors". And the xbox 360 already allow indie game devs to submit games, the PS4 will cater to indie game devs as well.
That would be the logical next step.
@KevinCross - most TV sets are 16:9 which is the ok ratio for us - pixels for pixels tho? Yeah, not sure on that. But we sit so much further back from the screen and the pixel density on a big TV is 50ppi or lower. Compare that to over 300ppi for phones.
It would be cool guys, for sure
No dice though.
I've felt for a while that all the new platforms added have been lacking features. It looks great to investors/shareholders/management to be able to say 'We're available on X number of platforms'.
For us little guys actually using the software, it's less impressive when you can't add leaderboards/achievements on anything other than iOS for example.
I'd love for us to be able to make PS4/Vita games, for example, as they have quite strict quality rules - but there'd be no point to it unless trophy achievements were in from day one.
Additionally, getting on Steam would be pretty awesome too. But again, that would necessitate being able to use the Steam API for achievements and stuff.
Instead we'd probably be able to eventually just make games for PC. There is a difference, and it'll be ignored.
Them: You can make games for PC now! (happy shareholders)
Us: But for it to be useful we need to be on Steam with all the trimmings (sad pandas)
So while new platforms would be ace, I'm not holding my breath!
Happy to be proved wrong though!
QS =D
@matarua And yes, the OUYA was actually on my mind when posting this. If we could publish to the OUYA then I would purchase one, instantly.
