Recording footage from my game?

I've tried and failed to install the GS viewer for Android(using Windows version of GS), used macincloud but the resolution was way too small and then tried to use a screen recorder set up with/out root - and it wasn't great either.

Unless anyone else has some good ideas?

No I just screen record the GS preview screen. I've heard if people loading the viewer into the simulator and then doing a screen record of the app playing in the viewer.

    Use a program called reflector

@tenrdrmer The GS viewer on the Mac is totally different to the Windows version. You can remove all the scenes at the bottom and select your scaling on the Mac version - can't do any of that in Windows.

I will give reflector a try but I think the macincloud resolution will end up being too small(despite being on full screen).

    cheers

For Android, I use QuickTime's record option and the GS Preview Screen.
For iOS, I use a program called AirServer along with QuickTime's record option.

I use Reflector on the Mac too. You can record for 10 minutes at a time but the license for unlimited duration is only about $12.

I got an Elgato Game Capture HD for my recording. http://www.elgato.com/gaming/game-capture-hd

And I used Quicktime built in screen recording to report a bug and that worked pretty well for that purpose.

Reflector will even put it in a device frame either iPhone or iPad and a choice of either black or white.

I get sound and here is how. Plug you device sound into your Mac audio in port and record it with garage band then bring the video into GarageBand and sync. Simple

I use reflector, too. Great little app that records very nicely.

I got sound in Reflector without plugging the device into my laptop. It carried across AirPlay fine.
