The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - Who is looking forward to it?

Hey everyone,

I started a thread last year about the first Hobbit movie and thought that I'd open a thread this year, too. Discuss your expectations, thoughts or anything else related to the second movie of the trilogy: The Desolation of Smaug. I'm was a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and was waiting for a Hobbit movie (just my luck! There's three!) to be released. I'll be one of those freaks who waits outside of a theater days before release just to get the best seat. Midnight showing, of course.

What are your expectations? Did you enjoy the first movie?

    Soooooo looking forward to it although I had to watch the 1st one a couple of times before I really loved it.

    I'm still playing Warcraft 3 TFT because it has orcs and elves in it :)

    i can't wait. i read the book way before lord of the rings came out in theaters. I'm happy with how the first part came out. Second will be better I bet :)

    I thought i was gonna like the first one but my god It really just did not hit the spot for me. Def not making plans to see this new one. Usually like these kinds of movies but Blah this one just didn't work for me.

    Blasphemy ! ;)

    I've heard, and I've tried to stay away from spoiling reviews, that this second movie is suppose to be 10x better than the first. I have high hopes!

    Alright -- What did you guys think?

    I saw it at the first midnight showing -- I have to say, I liked it very much! More than the first movie, I must admit!
