getting an actor to completely stop in its tracks

digitalzerodigitalzero Member, BASIC Posts: 639
soo i have a snowball actor that i would love to completely stop and turn transparent when it hits the ground...

of course i have self.motion.linear velocity x "attribute" in place and i also have an acceleration attribute in place ase well... what i wanna do is when the snowball hits the ground it will stop completely but it seems as if the acceleration is not allowing me to do that...

i have had this problem before when i was working on this and i managed to figure it out im just not so sure how the hell i mananged to figure it out lol

If you want it to stop and turn transparent can you not simply destroy it when it collides with the ground actor ?

@socks well i want it to stay on the ground for a little bit and the eventually fade away and destroy

Use a move attribute and make the speed 0. Move overrides all behaviours that involve motion.

I'm not sure turning the 'bounciness' to 0 qualifies as 'genius', but I'll quote your post on my C.V/résumé regardless. :)

I agree with lump. Move looks more like a snowball thrown anyways...instead of it accelerating away from "player"..if thats what your doing.
