i know iv posted similar topics about this, but i can't seem to get anything done with apple. all i want is help with getting my app on my device, and the cookbook isn't helping me :/ I'm new to mac so I'm so confused with Xcode and everything, and since the cookbook is outdated I'm lost. I'm wondering would anyone be able to help me maybe over Skype?

Im sure his cideos will help you. I still like to post my input.

I suggest installing directly to your device via xcode. Follow these simple steps my brotha...from anotha motha.

Surely your running version 5.0 in your ios device. If not you need to upgrade to a latest version.

Note* you should, if you haven't, go to your developing portal in Apples website and create an "adhoc/Distribution profile for your game you wish to test.

    1. Publish your game in GS under whichever ios device you want (iPhone, iPad or Universal)

    2. Sign said app with an adhoc provisioning profile you made, download and insert into xCode via double click.

    3. Tether your device/devices to your Mac...

    4. Open xCode and along the tabs above, click the "window" tab...click "organizer". There you should see your devices with a tab for "applications" under each device. Click that, and down below you will see an add (+) icon. Click that and find your published app...double click that app... and before you can say thanks Thunder_Child it will be installed directly for testing in your device.

Lol. This was still in my copy and paste from the last guy.

I should update my video on installing on device and you can also use testflight and then you don't have to keep tethering your device. I have a video for testflight too.

I install my apps on iPad using nothing more then iTunes just add to library. it's very quick for your own testing.

thunder i can't double click or put the app that iv signed and downloaded from game salad into Xcode, because i try open it and it goes, "this type of file is not supported on this type of mac"
why :( does this mean i bought my apple developer licence and i can't use it because of my mac?

You don't double click it. Plug in you device and open iTunes. Then drag the app onto iTunes and it will put it into the apps library.
