Let's Play: Salvage Trader [alpha]

edited May 2013 in Announce Your Game!
I'd like to share my work-in-progress, Salvage Trader. It features open exploration of 25 interlinked maps, including several mini games tied to specific locations, like race tracks at a space station or a cave run on a planet. Along the way, you will unlock the storyline through a series of campaign missions, taking you from a lucky survivor to a fully fledged member of the Salvager's Guild.

I made a "Let's Play" video to show the basics:

I hope you like what I've got so far.

    It could go on forever, I think. Or until I decide that enough is enough.

    Here's a new, updated let's play video of Salvage Trader. Still in alpha, but if you've watched the first video you should definitely see some improvement.

    I'm glad you guys can see the difference. When you're up to your ears in it, it can seem like not much is actually happening in terms of progress.

    It's been a while since I updated this thread, but now there is a good reason to do so: a brand new 30 second teaser trailer for Salvage Trader. If you have been following the development at all, you will notice new graphics among other details. The game is very nearly done and is scheduled for Mac release towards the end of February.

    Check out the teaser:

    This looks lovely - great to see the improvements from the placeholder art in the first video to what it looks like now.

    Definitely has an 'Elite' vibe to it, which is always good in my book! (and the ZX81/Vic20 shootouts are something I would do - so I love that!) :D

    Just wondering - how are you planning to get this onto Steam if it's made in GS? I ask because I'd love to be able to do that with my own games as well :)

    QS =D

    Aaand - the game is OUT! I just launched the title for Mac, available through my site for now.

    I am indeed hoping to get it on Steam. It's on Greenlight right now, but that part is really out of my control (feel free to give me a vote there).
