Make a white flash when actor is touched?

How to make it so when the actor is touched, a white flash flashes on the screen for like 0.1s? perhaps an instant fade in and fade out of a white image?

Exactly right, although for 0.1 seconds I'm not sure you need a fade. You could always add one with Interpolate if you want.
