I have sprites for a viking to walk right but I want him to be an enemy and need him to animate walking left. Since he will be on the left side of the screen. I have the original static image flipped, but was wondering if there was a way to flip the images just using gamesalad. I do not have any programs right now to redraw anything. Thanks in advance for your help. I have paint obviously but I think it would put a white background around the image. Also I'm new to this and I've tried looking at the cookbook like some post say, but when I search " flip" nothing comes up and I went through the whole cookbook even doing the questions. Anyways hope to hear from you guys soon and thanks again.

    Use a change attribute behaviour and choose Flip Horizontal for the image. I'm not at my computer at the moment to give more details, hope that helps.

    Say I want him to idle, and he has 30 something pics of idle....Do I have to do that with each individual image? Like make 30 new actors? or just put the change attribute with the animation. Because the static image already faces left, because i used flip horizontal for the first image.

    Well I have the idle working with just the first image in the actor attributes flipped. The idle followed suit. But will the walking animation do the same? I'll try now and i'll let you know so we can close this post out. Thanks again for the help.

    Flipping the horizontal should work just fine. This way you import one set of animations (the walking and the idle), trigger when they go off, but have a variable that will switch when you change the direction the actor's facing.

    As far as I'm aware, this doesn't work if you're animating from a table, just as a FYI for anyone else reading this.

    QS =D

    Okay all I did is have the first image used for the actor flipped horizontally in the actor attributes and then all the animation followed right along with it even though in the little images they still faced right. So everything is good thanks for all the help.
