Not resizing

Ok so iv looked everywhere for this answer. Why isn't my game salad resizing my 960 by 640 images to fit the iphone portrait platform?

Iv ticked resolution independent and yet I still get double the size on screen. Any help please?

I'm real new to this :)

    Did you tick RI after you imported the art? If so delete and re-import the art and see if that makes a difference for you.

    When you import images for resolution independence, you import them at four times the size (twice the width and twice the height). But... you place them on the scene at the normal size. So if you are developing for Legacy iPhone Portrait at 480x320 (by the way, that's an outdated resolution unless you want to exclude newer iPhones), then your scene background actor would be 480x320. When you publish the game, the publishing engine will do all of the scaling for you as long as your image files in the image library are four times the size.
