How do I loop background seamlessly

in Working with GS (Mac)
I have a background image in portrait mode and I want it to loop scrolling down at 200 speed but everything I try either doesn't line up properly or has a black line flicker I between the loop

    @deej011, what size is your background image?

    If you follow the image memory allocation rules, i.e. using a width of 32, 64,128,256,512,1024 or 2048 seems to always work smoothly.

    If not, then you sometimes have black lines or stuttering. Even if your image is divisable by 2.

    thanks for the reply, whats the best method to actually loop the background the background image has to be 1024x1024 to cover the whole background.
