Once again new users please take note. There is no need to scream for help or to plead for help around here. 95 % of all posts get an answer. The people here are very willing to help you if they know a solution to your issue. Show some respect to the people of this community as screaming or pleading implies nobody cares or is willing to answer your question and that is just not true. Demonstrate some restraint and common curtesy when posting on the forum. Write a simple title that reveals your issue and write a clear question. I'm tired of seeing the forum clogged with this foolishness as I can't keep up with the relative issues of the day. Maybe it's time to steer more complex discussion amongst pro developers in the section of the pro forum that can't be posted in by non pros?

It really doesn't matter how many times you say this, there's always going to be people joining forums all over the interweb and writing 'PLEEASE help' posts!

It's not so much that. There's so many important threads that go unanswered, especially around things like Amazon, google play etc and the guides GS have are just so outdated.

We need better forums rather than being greeted with a wall of threads all the time. Vbulletin or something along those lines would work wonders.

Unfortunatly I think we have a difference in cultures and age groups to such and extreme this problem will never go away.

I don't know if these other cultures have taught thier kids the only way to deal with Americans is to scream and yell and demand a solutions to your dire emergency.

And then theirs the instant gratification kids who have been allowed to expect that everything in life will go thier way and on the off chance it doesn't everyone will care so deeply they will solve that catastrophe immediately.

So in short I think we are screwed on this front. :)

I checked the last 5 pages of posts and this was the only one that had more than one exclamation mark or shouting capitals.

    Just saying.

Edit: Pah, I missed one. But that's one in 5 pages. How about, random idea, we just aim to help these people and rely on the mods to clean out the ones who actually break rules, rather than bitching about them?

I get what you are saying as it bugs me some too, but @Armelline is right. There isn't as many as you think floating around.

Besides it isn't like most of us don't do things to get our thread noticed. I've seen you do it on numerous occasions using things like those apple icon things. Others use $, @, *, !, and so on. Although you don't scream for help you vie for attention like they do. I'm guilty of it, as is most on the forums. They are just going at it in a bit more amateurish (or foreign) way.

It's the upcoming MEOW generation. ME, NOW.. ME, NOW.

Most kids nowadays feel self-entitled - it's quite frightening. Not to mention the logical and problem solving skills taught in school seem to be extremely lacking.

    The future scares me !

What bothers me by far the most is "bump". I always thought that if your post is still relatively new, edit your last reply to it. If it's dropped back a few pages, reply to it with new and important information. Most forums ban "bumping" and I completely agree with such policies :D
    (or foreign) way.
I think this is absolutely key. I see far too often people mocking someone for their English on these forums. I don't get that at all. If someone has made the effort to write their post in English, we should be trying to understand them and help them not mocking them. Even when what they've said is utterly incomprehensible. Perhaps there should be a forum specifically for people to mirror their posts in their native language, so anyone who speaks it can either translate it or reply to it, while keeping the foreign language posts s

@Armelline We (moderators) often warn members about not bumping threads that have recently been created or updated. It's rare that we would ban someone outright for bumping but if it is part of a pattern of violating other forum rules then we would. I honestly don't think it's that much of a problem here especially because we remind people about it.

And while mocking certainly does occur, I think a lot of it is actually targeted towards people who don't take the time to spell check, grammar check, or otherwise re-read what they've typed. Run-on sentences and incomplete thoughts are really tough to work with and that's what people tend to rail against. Actual English-as-a-second language posts I think for the most part are respected and treated appropriately.

When I first started using GS...I watched the videos...I worked the templates to my advantage best I could...I also got frustrated and did my few rants and raves..."a cry for help post"...but I also have learned now more of the rules, some of the techniques to get help from the gurus.

    @FryingBaconStudios‌ is right.

He cant take on the entire forums himself ya know. I found the best way to get is to do just like he suggests...first a brief description in the topic heading...then show what you have done to try yourself with as much details as possible so they can even comprehend what is being asked.
