Image is too large to work in GS?

in Working with GS (Mac)

I get a message when inserting a 640x3344 background image which I want to use it for a parallax background.
Does anyone know what the largest size I can use is?

    I think it's 2048x2048

    I've converted to standard Flappy-Bird Units, pixels are so 2014 (early 2014).

    The largest size image you can import is 1 x 1.33 FBu.

    Hmmm I have to find a better way for parallax background as the bottom layer is really long
