Good images in GameSalad creator

in Working with GS (Mac)

Hi, I have just started using game salad on my windows machine and I am wondering how to get good images into my game

What I mean is that I have seen some games out there that have very good images (for example Angry Birds and Jet pack joyride) and I am wondering how to make them or get them

I Have used Gimp as a free alternative to Photoshop and I don't know how to do anything but basically change the color and
Draw very rough images :smile:

If there are any tutorials on how to make images for your game in Gimp please point them out to me

Also I very much like Game salad and want to continue making games in it so you would help me a lot with your answers
