hey everyone, i had opened a thread for this before, but people decided to trash it with conversation that was off topic.
so here is a brand new thread, please dont trash this one with conversation thats off topic to :)
also please dont post your own templates here either, thanks :)
I will be posting gameplay of the templates and a download link. these templates will be from both me and @timolapre1998‌

to start this thread off, i will lay out these templates.
We have a lot more, but i will be making videos for them before i post them :)

    draw a line: basically allows you to draw a line using the same actors, can be used for many games.

    so many people have downloaded our free templates so far :) thanks guys.
    We are currently working on some new free templates,
    at the moment im working on a leps world 3 template that will be completely free so stay tuned :)

    Turn Music on and off with one button. someone had problems with getting this to work properly so decided to make a quick demo of it.

    But you are taking other people's work, sometimes their designs, sometimes their code, and you feel you should get a credit ? This whole copying thing is getting out of control !? :|

    @Socks‌ i do not copy other peoples code, look through the free templates i have made and tell me that the code is not mine.
    the artwork i put together i made pixel by pixel, so before you take everything out on me, please make sure you know so first.

    i have been working on it for a long time now.
    "do you know why?"
    because i feel the need to share, but listening to people criticising my work, telling me i dont do anything myself, that i steal from others, is just shocking, im not surprised that people these days are leaving the forums.

    What does that have to do with the point I was making ? Would you like me to give examples of where GSINVENSTION has taken design ideas, code and artwork from other people and sold them on as their own ?

    Again, what does that have to do with the point I was making ? The forum has lots of people who readily share, who help others out, with coding issues, logic issues, design issues, who generally solve problems and upload projects to share with others on the forum. This 'need to share' is not exclusive to you.

    In fact one of the projects I shared for free with the forums (the colour selection wheel) was taken (artwork and all) and made part of the drawing template you now sell (for cash) to GameSalad users.

    Lol ! : ) You are shocked because I questioned whether you should be credited for the Flappy Bird design ?

    You might think this is all petty, but I think these is an issue here, sure gsinvention.com aren't doing anything particularly evil :smile: (or even out of step with the emerging culture), but I do think the whole copying thing is getting a little out of hand when someone feels they should be credited for a design that they've taken from someone else !

    I think @Socks makes some good points, but they are points that apply to all the template makers and sellers, free or paid, for at least some of their templates.

    I take no issue with the offering of templates that are original, or based on small individual features like the latest one posted by @CodeMonster. In my opinion they add a valuable resource to the community.

    The fact that for all three of the prominent 3rd party sites you have to "add to cart" and "checkout" and supply personal details to download a free template... that's what I really find offensive.

    to be honnest @Socks‌ you are very narrow minded.
    with code, sure it can be coppied, look at flappybird for example, lots of people have re made the code for that game just like we have, but you obviously want to take it all out on us.

    i swear you are just asking for me to stop making free templates??
    if thats the case, then i will stop.
    i am a very busy guy still in college, and yet you still have to be a complete fruit pop who loves to make others feel bad for something they didnt do. just stop taking everything out on me.

    with the credit, i said "No need to credit us, but if you wish so, you can"

    and with what @Armelline‌ has mentioned, i cannot do anything about the checkout option for the site where you have to provide an email adress ect.
    but just do what everyone is doing at our site at the moment, they just type stuff like this for the email:
