How many sizes do I make for an app icon?

Hi. If I'm creating an app icon for a game, how many sizes should I create it in?
Do I create it in 1 size & apple will automatically resize it when needed?

    I get a 1024x1024 icon then scale it down to 512x512 for other sites. Apple should do the work for you.
