Newbie GS viewer question..

So when you purchase a GS license you get access to the GS viewer, right? Now does the GS viewer only work on a device? (iphone/ipod/ipad) Or can you run it on your mac to test the app?

The reason I ask is because I don't have an iphone/ipodtouch yet, so I was wondering if it's possible to test the app on my mac only initially... I know you can do a web preview to test it.

Also if this is possible, how accurate is testing in GS viewer compared to on a device. I know you can't beat testing on the actual device, but I will try to do that through friends and such, until I get my own...

Or have I got this all wrong? Do I test using the apple sdk solution, I have not purchased any licenses yet, so I don't know how this all works...

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response, that clears things up a bit.
The iphone SDK only works on Snow Leopard and not normal Leopard, right?

    ok, thanks again.
  • I don't suppose there is a step by step guide anywhere on how to test on the device is there? I've downloaded the SDK and have my ipod touch connected...now I'm lost on what I need to do. I'm such a noob. :-(
  • Never mind. I'm retarded and did not think to look on the Gendai Games Youtube channel.
