Hey folks. We've got a lot of contacts at the Casual Connect conference and their next event is in Belgrade from Nov 9th through 13th. They are offering travel assistance and conference discount to qualified developers.

We'd love to have some GS developers compete in the Indie Prize Showcase at the event and/or speak at the show. Please contact me directly if you meet any of the following qualifications:

1) Developers must be from one of listed countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Middle East and African countries. Female developers from any country can qualify.
(2) Have 20 or less team members.
(3) Currently have a game project in development or have a portfolio of previously released games.

If you meet these qualifications and are interested in participating, please send me a PM as soon as possible. The competition is fierce, but we would love to see some of these great GS games you guys have been making get the respect they are due!

Check out the Indie Prize website at: http://indieprize.org/ee/index.html

Thanks,

Dan

Hahaha now that is a nerd rule if I have ever seen one.

@tenrdrmer‌ the event (and the sponsoring organization) is run by a friend of mine who happens to be a veteran female developer. They are very big on promoting women in gaming and always among the best-run events because they don't tolerate drunk dudes acting a fool, etc.

Not coincidentally, the content there is always top shelf as well because they are able to attract a lot of speakers who have something valuable to say rather than just a bunch of PR bullet points ;)

@dgackey‌ no offense intended. It is very cool none the less.

None taken! I just wanted to make sure nobody thought it was a skeevy conference trying to lure females or anything ;)

@dgackey, I agree, the speakers at CasualConnect are always of high quality. The topics are diverse and interesting.

Best of all, nearly 100% of the insights and talks are relevant to indie devs, even hobbyists.

It is nice to see how it has grown over the years.
