How Much Income Per Download?

in iPhone and Android Publishing

I've been thinking... If I were to upload an app to the iOS app store and charge $0.99. Will I make $0.99 per download? In other words, If I pay $99 to be a registered apple ios develeoper, will 100 downloads earn me my money back? Or does apple take a huge percent of the purchase?

    Last I checked, Apple takes 30% of your $0.99. Then there might be taxes to take into consideration. But that depends on the country you live in.

    Yes, Apple still takes 30% of all income, so you're left with 70%.

    Do you know which 70% they take ? Is it the first 70% (0-70%) or the last 70% (30-100%) ? Or do they take it from the middle, like 15% to 85% or something like that ?

    @Socks - Knowing Apple, they probably take 10% from the first, middle and last.

    EDIT: Socks, I wasn't aware Apple takes 70% of all income. : - )

    They only take 70% of 42.8571% of your earnings.
