The game is well suited for my 4 1/2 year-old son who is learning his letters. The animations and sound effects are silly and cute. But he had a difficult time understanding what to do because there is very little in the way of instructions or demonstrations and the buttons seem to be geared for adults (text-heavy and not easily understandable icons). The games -- popping balloons and bubbles -- did not hold his interest for more than a minute. I also am not sure about rewarding a sticker for every single word. It gets a bit repetitive even for a young kid. The "shelf" that holds letters is too narrow and tricky for young fingers. One thing I would like to see is an audio repetition of the letters in a word. When a kid drags "B E A R" onto the placement letters, the app says "B for BEAR." I would like to hear it say "B... E... A... R... spells BEAR. Or B... E... A... R... B is for BEAR."
