@MattButlerStudios
i mainly started to promote them for the first 3 launch days, which I always do on weekends where you get the most traffic for a launch.
@evert
next to the chartboost which makes 80% of the money I have iAD banners and an in-app to remove all adds and get more score permanently. ranging from price 0.99 to 4.99 depending on the game
@robertkdale
thanks! I hope to grow the channel, making more of this informative short clips.
But also shift a bit more general on topic not to specific to not scare of players.
Since they should become the target audience.
As it is/was my main revenue source this hits me very hard.
I wrote them now that I update all similar apps including pug to be in alignment with their police and hope the re-activate it..
Else I can upload a fixed version but lose all ratings and connections to 30000 active installs which will get no more updates.
The ratings where all real but players did it mostly for the reward.
Anyways they could have rated it any value but they rated it high so its kind of weird.
Since i Only motivate them to rate what ever they like.
What a shame it got pulled!
I'd imagine the thing that flagged it up to Google was the downloads/review ratio. 1 in 5 people were reviewing the game - which is very high!
Playing devil's advocate, if he told his lawyers to stop you, PewDiePug, PewDiePieXmas, PewDiePie and PewDieBall would all be taken down, no question. You may win a legal fight over PewDiePug and PewDieBall, but it would cost you tens of thousands to even start to fight it. I had a similar experience six or seven years ago with my very first (Xcode programmed) iPhone game. I had a major company tell me to remove my game or face legal action. I am 100% sure I'd have won any legal battle, but to fight it would have cost thousands and thousands and I just didn't have that money to spend.

good work, thanks for sharing!
I like the last bit most.
Congrats on the success! Do you market your games a lot through ads or other services?
Congrats and thanks for sharing your journey as an indie game developer. A true inspiration!
I subscribed to your channel!
looks great! do you only do ads with chartboost or do you use other services to?

Bad News tough..
Google play just removed my most successful app as police strike example.
Because I rewarded players to rate the app with in-game points.
As it is/was my main revenue source this hits me very hard.

Do you worry that PewDiePie may take issue with your use of his likeness and name to profit from?
(No dig, genuine question.)
@Armelline
He owns no right on Pewdiepug
but i hope that he plays it.
I also got an app using his name I got warned by apple now that they remove this one.
But this is predicted playing with the fire.
I can always re-ship it with another name.

@Armelline
yeah worst case I will not even fight for it then
but there is many of fan games out there using his name
he also doesn't respect trademarks of others so i guess his mentality is pretty open on it
but IF then yeah he has the power
This is very true and would indeed make him very hypocritical
