Hey guys i'm uploading my app through application loader to put on iTunes connect and it comes up with a message that says :

ERROR ITMS-90017:"this bundle is invalid.the IPA format requires a top-level directory named Payload, containing only a.app bundle and optional plugins in a PLUGINS directory."

And I have tried zipping it and then changing it to and ipa file then making a payload folder then moving the ipa file into the folder then compressing that folder then changing to a ipa file and it doesn't work

I don't know what else to do please help

take the .app file you get when you sign the app in game salad, right click on it and hit compress. then upload the resulting .zip file.

the payload folder is only needed if you are using test flight for adhoc testing.

you did that and only that? In your first post you said this:

I have tried zipping it and then changing it to and ipa file then making a payload folder then moving the ipa file into the folder then compressing that folder then changing to a ipa file and it doesn't work

    you need to stop here:

I have tried zipping it and then (STOP HERE!!!!!) changing it to and ipa file then making a payload folder then moving the ipa file into the folder then compressing that folder then changing to a ipa file and it doesn't work

That is all you have to do. That is the only way to upload.

I am also facing this error and I absolutely don't know what can I do to fix that. I am uploading my games over and over again for the same way and there were no problems. :-(

I have just changed the app version from 1.5 to 1.5.1 and changed Displayed Name in the GameSalad Publishing section... I didn't make any other changes...

Solved. Bundle Name without COMMAS has been uploaded correctly. That is really weird. :D Many thanks for your help! Daniel.
