@Thunder_Child
nope it does mean i can not further update the version of this 30000 installs.
All players who would want an updated version would need to download the new "pewdiepug" with the new ID. Forcing them to start from scratch.
Also these 30k people don't know anything about the circumstances.
So i guess i just move on to the next game.
I re-published and it already has a bunch of ratings again only through the "please rate" pop up without any reward. And 180 of 250 active Installs.
So i Just let it grow to make some money but not sure if I will extend the game further..
Hmmm a game I am working on...based on other games I see in the App Store...lets players view and ad and rewarded coins. From what I understand this is allowed. Hooe it stays that way.
Yes for ads they also had this forbidden early 2014 but since the big players like candy crush / clash of clans
etc.
did it it is now allowed.
It is the new top monetization model to reward players with in-game currency to watch a video ad.
I had plenty of games slipping through with rewards to rate.
This works really good.
But I decided now to remove it for all these games updating around 10 games and removing the reward.
A potential account suspension i do not want to risk
Thank you for sharing this, I can imagine it's all too easy to get lost in a grey area and make an unfortunate decision. All mistakes are learning opportunities and I'm grateful that you shared one of yours.
I hope it is just a brief wobble that causes no problems long term for you. You clearly put effort into your games, they deserve the attention.

Ah... So sorry to hear that, Dave... Sucks so bad... Really hope the updated versions keep paying your bills, man!
All the best to you, and dont give up

Hopefully "suspended" means you can update that app without having to piblish under a new App ID.
Good luck BigDave. Thanks for letting us know about Google Play policy as I was unaware that you can't give any incentives for leaving a review.

In-case no one know apple don't let you do this also, I had a game rejected because I had a character unlock for rating my game! Hyper jets,
was a while back but ya know, annoying!
@jay2dx
yeah but your case is another "reward" to rate.
A pop up without any benefit, designed as a reminder is allowed as long you don't spam

Your openness is great and an inspiration how you don't let it get you down, but defyantly bring out a great new game!
